I feel the soul of the MKIV Supra in that body design, anyone ?

The Supra looks classic, but compared to this, the Supra's kinda goofy; it was bulbous in a way, from the headlights to the overall body shape. The LFA is sleek and has sharp lines.

400 grand for that? The Japanese make good cars, but anything over 60 grand for a Japanese car doesn't really appeal people.

Looks like Nissan designed the body.

I just had the same argument with another fool the other day:
If the French can slam a million dollars price tag on the Veyron, why can't Toyota, the largest automaker on earth do it ?
FYI, this car isn't just another rebadged Toyota, It carrys a 5.0 V10 engine which has to be engineered from scratch. Not mentioning this is the first exotic car Toyota ever built, for the whole Japanese automovie industry.

it looks great, it'll probably be very fast
but it just doesnt justify the insane price tag
unless this car does 0-60 in 3 seconds while running on fumes LOL

Is this car engineered in Japan, or in Toyota's US subsidiary? I'm guessing Lexus is headquartered in the US and not in Japan?

for about quarter of a million i could get a Ferrari F430 (Scuderia) so for that much i got my self a Ferrari. and for a little more i could get a lexus instead ? i think the LFA is a little too much for a lexus. i mean i know its very nice car but i think i prefer to be rolling down the block with a Ferrari. basically i feel the brand doesn't justify the price,

$hit. i don't remember where i read this but toyota did announce that this vehicle ran the ring faster than any other production vehicle did. iirc it was from 7tune they got the info from a toyota press conference. but this car has been in like 10 years of development almost straight derived from their f1 car. the whole chassis/frame is made of carbon fibre so this car tho the brand itself is not at the level in my honest opinion is worth the amount that they are asking. not only that i think they are limiting production to 500 and i have heard from my boss that we are only getting 2 in canada during the first year of production. to top it off i was looking forward to driving one of these but my boss also told me that our dealer is not getting one of these in the first year even though we are the number one lexus/toyota dealer in canada.

You dont get it... it's not for poor people like you and me. This car was made for people with a lot of money and will buy it cuz they can. I would rather roll in the LFA instead of Ferrari cuz everyone already know how a Ferrai looks like.

It is a streamlined modern take on the MKIV Supra - and still retains some of the sexy curves.
It'll be interesting to see if any of the big japanese workshops will try at hand at modifying this car.

I would love to see this beast goes against the NSX, as a battle of the V10. Maybe put a Viper in the mix as well.

Maybe instead of starting off with an LFA, they should have tried something more Boxster-like. I don't think they learned anything from the LFA that will translate into a high production vehicle. But some people like the feel and percieved reliability of a Lexus as opposed to a german car for those people the F - series car is fine.
