Okay, five years ago when my mom and I moved to the house I'm currently living at, the two tall trees in the front yard were full of green leaves. Both trees were dark brown and healthy with lots of leaves every years.
As years went by, there started to be tons of birds feces all over my mom's car and my car. Strange thing was, there were no birds.
Anyways, one day, my mom woke up and went outside. Her car was hit with lots of birds' poops, so she cursed at the trees.
You know how Hmong parents are, their CURSES are so hurtful. They know how to curse. The curse seems like a poem sometimes. It's so poetic, complex and insulting at the same time.
Anyways, after what my mom said, the two trees started to go dry. They're so dried-up right now. No more leaves. Branches are breaking off everyday. It's so sad. The trees turned grey.
My mom told me she may have "ua rau ob cov ntoos tu siab." The spirits of both trees left, which is why the two trees went dried, completely dead.
I remember my friend, whose father is a shaman said that trees have spirits. All non-human made things have spirits in them.

I like your thoughts Xeem. I agree trees have spirits too. Heck, you can even talk to them if you know how. Native Americans weren't kidding when Pocahontas talked to the Willow tree grandmother.

I heard rocks/stones have spirits in them too. But a different kind of spirit.

Technically trees are living; they might not have minds but they know how to obtain nutrients and adapt to environments. Why wouldn't they have have spirits? By the way, does anyone know why people say that dogs don't have souls? lol
