I buy Carlson's Fish Oil regularly. At the local health food store like Whole Foods Market or Vitamin Shoppe, a big bottle costs over $40. If I order from Amazon or Vitamin Shoppe website, the same-size bottle costs a little over $20.
Nowadays I pretty much buy everything online. The only brick-and-mortar stores at where I still shop are:
- Wal-mart, whose prices can be (sometimes but not always) less than online prices;
- Big Lots, for supplies like paper and toilet towels, and sometimes really cheap close-out items;
- Ikea, whose prices are cheaper because the shipping costs for furniture kill any potential saving from buying online; and I like to look, touch and measure my furniture before I actually buy them;
- Sears and Big-K (which is a subsidiary of Sears) for Kenmore kitchen appliances because I trust Kenmore's quality, and only Sears sell them;
- Fry's Electronics, but only when some items are on sales or clearance; otherwise everything at Fry's are unreasonably overpriced.
- Grocery stores for food items.
Everything else I pretty much buy from Amazon and Newegg (for computer and sometimes electronic items.)
I used to buy from eBay, but now everything on eBay is so expensive. Nowadays eBay is for tools who want to spend too much. "Buy It Now" = "Click Here to Get Ripped Off"
