My prayer goes to Kham Xiong's family and relatives.

QUOTE
A soldier from St. Paul is among those killed in the Fort Hood shooting, his family said today .

The soldier has been identified as Kham Xiong, 23.

His family said Kham Xiong had just finished exchanging text messages with his wife when the shooting occurred.

In an interview with KSTP, brother Robert Xiong called Kahm a "role model."

22-year-old Kham Xiong and his family had been living in Texas for the last five months as he prepared for his new years deployment. He leaves behind a wife, a four year old daughter, a two year old son and 10-month old baby baby.

At the time of the shooting, family members tell us Xiong was on line for a physical. His wife texted him a message that said, "come home for lunch and go back later." But he stayed, writing back "no, i'll stay it's almost my turn." Moments later he was shot.

Such a tragic event. Very sad indeed.
Hope all the victims' families pull through.

The saddest part about this story is the texting : (. I can't imagine texing my husband and moments later knowing I had just "talked" with him, he got killed.

I can count the number of Hmong soldiers I've met in the Army on one hand. What are the chances? I can't even imagine what his family is going through right now. I wish there was something I could do to reverse all of it.

Yah, it's rare to meet another hmong person in the military. The whole 3 years I was in Japan, I met 4 hmongs in the Navy. My condolences to the family.

I believe they did this funeral today?

So sad. Hopefully he'll be honored in the Hmong community and his family is proud of his service to this country.

I'm not all into the whole war against terrorism because I believe the war isn't totally about "terrorism". anyway, that leads me to opine about the guy that went on an HQ rampage, he killed because he apparently at the time "snapped" from taking too much racist comments and acts towards him. it has nothing to do with how much sex anyone has had or will have. it's hysterical to relate this kind of stuff to how much "game" a person has (sex, wife, children, w/e...) there's more to it and why the hell are kids and teens so all about having sex making babies when at such a young age. do they think they are responsible "adults" or are capable of maturation?

Would you like to be double-penetrated?

Sex help reduce stress and tension levels, many young Hmong gals and boys have a lot of that too. More like a generic tylenol.

^I was just being sarcastic. embarassedlaugh.gif Besides it's just a forum so don't take everything so seriously, people like to "lighten" the mood all of the time on forums. As for the Army Psychiatrist, aside from racism....there's a deeper underlining behind his massacre. As of this moment he is still hospitalized and hiding behind a team of lawyers. I guess in the end, it's best not to make assumptions of others until ALL facts are reviewed. icon_neutral.gif
