Hello Mr Jagger, how's life?

I never expect you are going to list "Legend Of Dragoon", that's truly a classic. It brought back pleasant memories of completing 4 Cd's game and hearing the soundtrack coupled with exciting plot.

Have to add: Persona 3 and Persona 4 also have a quite entertaining soundtrack. The battle scene music in Persona 4 is nice.

As for Chrono Cross, Yasunori Mitsuda the composer, that's a legend too. His flute music is simply amazing.

I played Legend of Dragon nearly ten years but didn't get very far in it. My favourite track from that game was the Grassy Plains theme.

I started playing Persona 3 last year but didn't get very far in it, and I haven't played Persona 4 at all, so I'm not sure how good the soundtracks are.

As for Mitsuda Yasunori, he is one of my all-time favourite composers. His soundtracks for Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross and Xenogears are incredible!
A Buck-fifty
My favourite game music has to be from the Shenmue series.

This is a really nice piano medley of Shenmue's music:

^ I almost forgot about Shenmue! Thanks for reminding me. I've just added the Shenmue soundtrack to my list right now.

Yes, the earliest Japanese RPGs, like the first Dragon Quest for example, began as rip-offs of Ultima and other early American RPGs. By the late 1980s though, Japanese RPGs started coming into their own as a distinct subgenre of their own as they started diverting away from Western RPG conventions.

Hello all

Ooh man, how can I overlook Shenmue?? This game is a masterpiece and the soundtrack cannot be forgotten either. Unfortunately, they decided not to resume the game. A very sad indeed.

Why don't we all gamers make a signed petition to Sega so that they proceed with the sequel? Joking man.

By the way, Mr Jagger, Persona 4 is not to be missed. But be prepared for the challenge, not an easy bait to complete the game.

Another game music that composed by Yasunori Mitsuda was Tsugunai:Atonement. This game was under hyped though the storyline and the music must not be ignored.

There's another game called: Legaia 2 Dual Saga. The game had a few touch by Yasunori Mitsuda though overall the music was not composed him entirely.
