Ok I know some of you like rap or hip hop whichever, hip hop is a lifestyle and rapping is what you do. Anyway, I thought I would start this up so then we can discuss current and past history of the peoples involved in this booming entertrainment empire. Discuss who you like, who you hate, famous or even witty rap quotables, new releases, questions on a particular artist. You can be as negative as you want, but dont start bashing an individual AF member, stay on the topic of who the rappers is. Lets begin.

ok I'll join
I feel that rap is not the same
Like back when Deathrow was on top
Master P was still hungry and kept making hits
When Snoop was a gangster rap star not this pop star he has become
sh!t like the Luniz T.R.U and tight as hell soundtracks like above the rim and Murder was the case
I still love my rap but I just wish some artists didn't lose there hunger for the game
know what i'm saying

Rap has gone through lots of stages. Alot of people thought it was just a fad in the eighties, still thought it was fad in the ninties, now those same people are on rap nuts. As rapping became more clever with punchlines, battling became a big big way of expressing anger and dissing but in a clever, witty way. Seeing that battling started back in the streets of NYC, Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx back in the early to mid eighties, it still continuded on for a another decade and a half. One of the most famous battles were, LL Cool J vs. Kool Moe Dee, Krs - One vs Mc Shan, Craig G vs. Supernatural etc etc. THat also brought in some of the noted beefs that most people were unaware of. Common and Ice Cube had beef, Eazy E and Dre w/ Snoop, Krs and Shan. The list goes on as the new era of rap was evolving. But even though todays rap is pplluted with such nonsense status quotes, it still has some flare left in it. The jiggy era seems to be still going strong and getten worse. Back in the Mid Ninties I jsut couldnt stand listening to that $hit anymore, I started paying more attention to underground, unsigned cats of nation or local talents. That was a goldmine of untapped writtens, some to be the illest bars ever spitten by less than famed names. Back when Company Flow first came out, that $hit was insane, original beats with crazy mentals ever thought up of. Besides Wu-tang clan, the entire Boot Camp Click was probably the only other group that had that many memeber to be as raw as the Wu, but kept it more underground. The westcoast had a list of nice cats that were holding it down, like the Alcoholics (now Liks) and the Likwit Crew including Xzibit, Heiroglyphics crew, Dialated Peoples, Encore, Rasco, Planet Asia, cats that were still trying to keep it original but with a westcoast flare. I use to listen to all the $hit from Mc Eiht to Spice One, NWA, Luniz, Mac Mall, South Central Cartel (MUrder Squad) and of course Too $hortt.

Yeah it happends, thats how I use to do it, buy all the newest $hit every Tuesday and end up with with only a handful of bangers, Now all I do is buy vinyl.
As some may know about the R. Kelly and Jay- Z "Best of Both Worlds" tour been canceled due to R.Kellys dissatisfied lineup class and equipment plus a pending lawsuit. Jay-Z however is still finishing up the tour now entitled Jay- Z and friends.

Russell"Rusty" Jones aka Ol' Dirty Bastard, the "Flavor flav" of the Wu group.
Yeah he was finishing up his comeback project under the "ROC" but collapsed. Unknown of cause but probably a heart attack Im assuming. The ones that are looking for songs by him that I think are blazing, cop the "Return to the 36 Chambers", that album was hot and the other song that I still enjoy is "Dog $hit"

I agree, Pac was more visionary. Lyrical spitfires I say would have to be Chino XL, Talib, Big L, Big Daddy Kane, Del, Redman, Biggie, Canibus, Eminem, Starang Wondah, Slugs, Cormega, Royce 5'9, Killah Preist, U-god, Inspekta Deck, Gza, Rza, fukk it the original 9 members of Wu-tang, Krs, Rakim, Pharoah Monch, Jeru da Damaja, Necro, Ill Bill, Cage, El da Sensai and Esoteric.

Ok you hip hop rap fanatics, Ive been sleeping on giving you some news so here I go,
First off The Aftermath label looks like its going to have quite a
prestige year for the 05 if everything goes well.
Dre's Detox album looks like it will be completed since Dre has
been sweated and hasseled by so many.
Eve and Busta Rhymes album should be in
the final stages and looking for a Spring/Summer release. The Game which
also is looking to drop his highly anticipated album by Jan 18th. His song "How We Do" is quite nice. 50 Cent has been wrecking shop with his
"Disco Inferno" single and his "St. Valentines Day" is said to be dropping
on Feb. 15th. Even though I dont like 50 his beats and guests appearences make it worthy.
Law suit in progress?? It looks like Kanyeezy(West) and Luda is in for some
legal matter as the New Jersey based group I.O.F. (Its Only Family) is
claiming that the Luda single "Stand Up" contains elements of I.O.F.'s track "Straight Up Like That". Luda has dropped disses about them on the song "Pass Out" but a rebuttal was made by them called "Fukk Ludacris" over Fat Joe's "Victim"
beat. Sounds like some serious heat if true since both Luda and Kanye are grammy award nominators.
Kanyeezy isnt off the hook just yet,it seems that the hip hop community isnttoo happy with West recieving 10 grammy nominations, not jealousy but how the recording process was done. The main reason is the single "Jesus Walks" which got nominated for both best rap and song of the year, was actually bought by Kanye from Rhymefest who is credited for co-writing the song. It is also rumored that Rhymefest indeed was who wrote and produced the track then sold it to Kanye but the was re-recorded.
Shyne is linking up with Marky Mark(Walberg) to make a docu. on prisoner life. Walberg has interviewed several other inmates and also other artists. It looks like it might make it to the silver screenand Shyne's 3rd solo album is in the works production by Kanyeezy, Just Blaze and the ALchemist!!! Looks liuke Shyne's career looks alot more shinier inside prison than most of the ones outside of the clink. haha
The Canadien rapper K-os has been making a serious name for himself.
He is already gold in Canada and is the #1 most downladable on the
Apple I-Pod center is "Crabbuckit" Check out his song "The Love Song".
Its still good to hear some non-flashy songs
Here something of interest, according to A.J. Abdullah who helped
concieve Eminem's first album has decided to auction off the studio known as Studio 8 in which created the Grammy award winning rapper. Located on the 8 Mile strip where Em grew up is being bid off on Ebay by A.J. for $215,000.
Other news for you rap heads.
It looks like hip hop slang has found its way into the Webster English Dictionary.
Bling Bling has been added couple years ago I beleive, but now
added one word punchlines including "thugged out", "crack ho", and "hoochie"
And the final news is the whole 50/Murder Inc Beef. Accusations have surfaced that the truth behind the beef lies in the lap
of Kenneth"Supreme" Mcgriff and his connections to the Inc. Mcgriff whose been under high investigastion through the F.B.I for laundering money to the label, has been said to be the directly responsible for odering the life of 50 back in '00. Even bigger rumors is that McGriff is also connected in the murder of 50's ma when he
was a child. These are just rumors as of date that surfaced so dont think its factual, just yet.
Anyway sorry for such delays on keeping you informed on the subject as there are more
news on the way, its just Im too lazy to write up the news. Until then, Keep it Freshhhhhhhh, ganksta!!!!!!
