For all you guys who come around Chinese/Taiwanese Chat:

Emac is a longstanding troll on Chinese and Taiwanese Chat here on AF. His previous screen names were "VinceLee," "Vinnie," and perhaps "Battleship" (if I recall correctly.) His modus operandi is to say things like "All citizens in China survive on less than 100 RMB a month" and bashing the KMT (in a ridiculous fashion) and also saying, "If you support China, move there from 6,000 miles away!"

Oh, and also in the past: "In Japan there are 3 million Chinese hookers. Mainland Chinese girls are in a hurry to prostitute themselves out to the Japanese." etc. etc.

This troll has been around for years and the AF mods have never banned him. But, at the least, can we stop feeding him? Ignore his posts. He's been doing this for years. It's about time it came to an end.

I doubt he has an undercover motive of making Taiwan look bad, especially if he is Vince, etc. He would be an incredible mastermind if he has been writing carefully engineered posts that did not gave even a hint of pro-china for all these years. He is probably just a troll who is extremely pro-TI. There is no need to denounce/disown someone on your side, just because he sucks and loses arguments. But I agree with you that it's best to not argue with someone who makes no sense seriously.

He may very well be a troll but I've met quite a few DPP supporters like him in real life.

i don't get why some members fall for troll.

over the years, i have developed a troll preventive mechanics.

and it's pretty simple.. the idea is i would reply appropriately if i feel that person post a legitimate argument in a constructive manner or if that person is a 500+ posts member.

I like his talks anyway, if not guys like him remembering us who commies are, then who would motivate us to hope to bring them down?
tigeryoung
This guy is talking nonsense worth no comment. I can not imagine why in Taiwan there are still some uncivilized and benighted people impossible to reason with.It could be a reflection of the situation there.

And as we all know, there are no trolls - none at all - in China and Germany. Not a single one......... icon_neutral.gif

Thanx for the heads up, and he's now been banned after a really thorough checking, which confirms that he's indeed all those same banned screen names.

Closing this thread since personal topics aren't allowed, and so it would be much appreciated if you and other members could report trolls and returning trolls via the report button on one of their posts to alert us, in the future.
