Following on from her success in the USA, Malaysian chanteuse Zee Avi will be performing in Australia at various venues along the east coast.
To kick off her tour, she will return to her home town Kuala Lumpur and then Singapore for some gigs, and finally make her debut on the Australian live scene.
Notably she will be taking part in the surf culture, arts and music festival called The Happening. At first I could not figure out the connection, but it turns out that Chris Malloy, pro surfer, filmmaker and founder of this festival, is the cousin of Emmett Malloy who runs Brushfire Records - Zee Avi's label.

Please come along and support Zee Avi.
It is rare to see Malaysian bands touring Western lands.
The SE Asian music scene is under-represented and often neglected by the major labels, so this is a chance to show that there is an international audience for rising Asian stars.
