it premiered last friday on cartoon network....i think the show is okay but the 2 girls that the cartoon portrays look hot in real life! (not like i've met them or anything but you get to see their real selves on tv also)
btw, if you sometimes hear a japanese intro to the cartoon Teen Titans, that was them too
their original name was Puffy (i think) but changed it to Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi because apparently there's some band/singer out there named Puffy....
hmmm, it seems that anime is having a bit of influence on american cartoons:
here are some that i noticed,
Megas XLR - that one episode where Coop's robot runs out of oil and is sucked into some giant pirate ship, the leader of the ship looks really anime-like
Kids Next Door - they made a parody of Dragonball Z where number 4 was supposed to be super saiyan Goku and those bad kids made a 5-headed frieza
Billy and Mandy (Grim Adventures) - another parody of Dragonball Z (episode called Chickenball)
Spy Girls - this obviously is anime influenced
Dexter's Lab - in this one new episode, Dexter faces some bad guy who looks really anime-ish
Teen Titans - they are some anime conventions present in this cartoon (like when they look surprised or blushing or crying, etc.)
that's all i can think of for now....(any others?)

^ It isn't that good a portrayal of how they act, they are muh older then portrayed and they are married. So I could see them acting vibrant on stage but not in real life (vibrant as in like a preppy teen and a pissy teen) They also alright looking if you want stuff on them ask me. (found stuff on them when i was looking for TMR.)

6 years ago, they were Puffy
I'm not sure why they changed their name, but I think it had to do with them trying to break into the North American market
at the time, P.Diddy was still Puff Daddy, or Puffy, and they didn't want the confusion
either way, they aren't very good....

try listening a few more of their songs. then again, they aren't THAT popular in my place, though. I only have their compilation cd.

I think I'll pass
most JPop bothers me
it's like some singers just try to be as cute as they possibly can, and don't even consider spending time improving their skills (this comment is not aimed at Puffy directly, but Ai no Shirushi is a perfect example of this)
I'd rather have more talent like Kiroro, B'z, L'Arc~en~ciel, ELT, Globe, Utada, Cornelius (yeah, yeah, he's crap, I've heard it before... at least he's original), etc.
I could list alot
it's probably shorter to say "not: Ayumi Hamasaki, Morning Musume, BoA, etc."
Southern Allstars are #2 on Mr. Heartbreaker's today
that makes me happy
Ken Hirai is #24
that's still pretty low, but at least he's still putting out good music, and it's popular

Based from watching a single ep, all I can say is that Hi Hi Puffy Ami Ayumi
simplemente pinche chupa.
