Masayoshi
I have a great respect for Son (Sun) Masayoshi, the greatest and most ambitious business man ever existed in Japan. He inherited his tactics from his ancestor, and he is known as a modern

Masayoshi
He is the richest man in Japan, worth seven billion US dollars.
tianya
He is not a ethnic chinese in Korea but a Korean.
Masayoshi
I don't deny that Masayoshi Sun's ancestor stayed in Korea in the past.
I think he is both Korean and Chinese, but ethnically, he was han chinese.

Taizo Sun, a younger brother of Masayoshi Sun, wrote a book, "Gene of Sun Tzu".
Sun family explicitly made clear that they have chinese ancestry.

Is he chinese? yes, overseas chinese. He had a long standing friendship with Yahoo! founder,
who was ethnic chinese, and business relationship could never be made, had he
not been chinese ancestry.

All that just points that Sun's family shares chinese blood, and this should not bother
Korean claiming his previous nationality. If this ever touches your korean pride,
I feel sorry and sad, but let us just get along for Sun's chinese kinship is what Sun and his brother,
and all his families claimed, not anything we can argue on internet.

Okay, okay, don't get upset, my korean friends. I don't deny that Sun's ancestor had korean nationality before he naturalized in Japan, satisfied?
But Sun himself, and his brother stated that they are descendants of Sun Tzu.
They also stated that their family was Chinese in Korea, not a korean ethnic.
This is what Sun claimed. I don't think he would deny both Korean and Chinese
relation, because he has business in both Korea and China, not to upset anyone, okay?

It's ridiculous. Many Korean family names are derived from Chinese ones. This then goes that all Koreans are ethnically Chinese.

Some families are real immigrants from China in old days, and they keep such records in their Family Book. To be true, the same record should occur in the Chinese Family Book of the same family name.

There are so man Son's in Korea. Perhaps, several millions. Of course, they are not ethnically Chinese.

There, however, could be some sub-families who have records of immigration from China. The Son, in question, might or might not have. At least, I've never heard such a story.

It would help if somebody shows the book or article which shows his own comment on this.

i've heard about this businessman. i don't really like him. he forced his wife to change her surname so he can retain his original surname when he registered for japanese citizenship. what's funny is that he may be the richest man in japan, but he also lost more money than anybody else.

it's possible that he's really chinese in the guise of a korean. this reminds me of how some baekje scholars and artisans who migrated to japan like Wang In were actually chinese.
