I hate canker sores. I used to get them all the time when I had braces. You should try Anbesol. I found that my canker sore heals faster w/Anbesol.

Yes they are no fun. I am not sure If there is anything you can do to prevent them. If you get them all the time I would check with a doctor to see if there is anything they can do. As for over the counter items I to would recommend Anbesol.
