I have a friend who works fro Siemens in Taiwan and he gets $2000 USD/month on rent plus extra spending money. His salary is about $65,000/year. But someone with the same position who works for the same company who is Taiwanese gets paid about half that.

Why?

Obviously he got better degree and experiences.

Why do Asians have the highest income in USA?

No. Same credentials and everything - actually the Taiwanese guy has more experience. And Asians do not get the highest income. Asians simply have more education and less unemployment, but a white person with the same qualifications has an easier time finding a job and getting paid more.

It's called Expat package.

It's because the the white guy asked for a raise o_o, or it's similar to how it's easier for a foriengner to get into American colleges through tolerance. ex. College wants people who are good at math and English. If a guy from perhaps china applies for the college who's good at math despite his English skills, he may still get in from tolerance as English may not be his first language.

Why would I need to provide a source? This is from personal experience. And I do notice Whites in Asia have a very easy life - no wonder they don't want to leave. I really hope that changes though.

Mndeg is most likely right.  I have a friend who's Taiwanese, but has US citizenship.  She got a job in the US, but they sent her to Taiwan, and she gets the fancier American salary for the same job.  I think the white dude scenario is this.  

that's the point, is if they were hired by an american company and were sent overseas, the incentive is the wage. if they were hired in asia, they would most likely get paid a salary commensurate with the standard of living there.




if they are paid more just because of race then that's racism (a form of nepotism in this case) and they are doing that specifically to attract them. it's stupid in this case if they are not more qualified.

If you want something to complain about, here in Taiwan they would prefer to hire one of the not quite illiterate whites over to teach English over much more qualified and intelligent ABC's.

Even whites from South America or France where English is not their first language. The system is a joke.

also maybe his family not in taiwan, his family is where the living cost is more expensive than taiwan.

good company always consider the living cost for employees and their families

china's cost of living is mostly lower than the west. what you get paid in the states may afford only a middle-class life whereas that same amount of money in china would go much further. people's income is usually based on the economy you are in, not based on the country/economy you came from. are you stupid?

why do you think people in new york city get paid more? its' because the cost of living is higher so they measure it against it as well as based on position/skill.

the query was why someone would be paid more for the same position requiring the same skills just because they are a different race.
