Hey everyone, I plan on going on a trip this August to Langkawi, and I've already got tickets booked for Kuala Lumpur.  Besides taking a plane, are there any fast ways of getting from Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi?  

You can go by road up the coast and then catch a ferry across to the island.
It is not the fastest way but you get to see a bit of the countryside.
Watch out for the monkeys though..... they can be a pest and will grab any loose items.

The flight is only about an hour plus say another 45 mins getting to KLIA.

The drive and ferry would probably be closer to 6.

Is there a reason you prefer to drive vs a flight?

I actually got tickets now, but I have another problem. Is there a way to get sleep in Kuala Lumpur International Airport? Are there are sleep rooms or lounges that don't cost too much to get a few hours of shut-eye?
