I was chatting with one of my close friends from Japan several days ago and he asked me about my height. I told him I was 152 cm and bemoaned the fact I was small-sized. When I told him I wanted to be around 171 cm tall (just 1 cm shorter than him) he told me it was too tall a size. Then he proceeded to explain that boys in Japan prefer small-sized girls. I was quite surprised by his explanation because I've always thought that smaller girls have more social/health disadvantages.


Are small-sized girls really popular with boys in Japan? o.O

There are some girls in my school that are 5'9-11 but 6'3. But im just saying if you look around now a days, and look that all the couples, most of the men are taller than the women. I remember seeing something like this on channel 7 but they did it about guys. 12 teachers ( 1 for every grade leavel) told their class to draw a couple including their hight and weight ( short/tall, skinny/fat) and almost everyone drew a short woman and a taller guy ( all skinny if you wanted to know)

that's because the female average height is shorter than the male average height
so in your average couple, the man will be taller
but that does not automatically mean that tall girls are doomed to a loveless life

I disagree. It's not about how long the legs are technically (measuring exactly how long they are) it's about proportion. Some people have longer torso and shorter legs, some have the other way. Personally, I have a somewhat short torso and longer legs. I'm only 5'2, so I'm sure a woman of 5'7 would have longer legs than me (even if she has a longer torso than legs) but the proportions might be in my favor.

I am 5' 11" and I like shorter girls........ no more than 5'7 and not because I am small down there or I prefere tight girls . But now, I have a crush on a korean girl that must be 5' 9" - 5' 11" I am not sure though, but she is tall! She is very cute though
