i'm having some problems with failed acceleration. anyone know how to enable the directdraw? that capability is off for some reason on my pc and i can't seem to turn it on through dxdiag run.

just want to play some games, but this is a real pain in the @$$

Han2 and InitialDJay may have some advice for you.

what video card are you using? nvidia or ati?

go to that your video card website and go to download section, and select your graphic card model and download the latest driver.

if that doesn't fix.. go to microsfot and download the latest directX.

you should be able to enable through DirectX diagnotic toll by going to the "display" tab.

if everything fail, most likely your video card does not have enough memory (probably not a good video card, then you shouldn't try to play modern game or high performance game).

i think i solved the problem. the driver acceleration had to be set on maximum. thanks anyway.
