Neutrogena is not as effective for me. It just gives me good complexion. I believe keeping a good diet is essential to the face, also.

proactive is crap it does not do what it says it will do, they are acting as if it will work for everyone's skin, when it does not, that's why they get fancy celebrities on their commercials to sell their product more, it irritate my skin and made it itch/red and the bumps were still there, they say money back guarantee so people don't get skeptical about it but how many people are going actually go through all the trouble of sending back the product even when it doesn't work to get back their money?

I even tried it again and again to see if it would work, but it still made my skin itch like hell and red, itched so much that I pealed off my skin with my finger nails

no other acne product never made my skin feel like that, the others did not work but they did not made my skin feel bad either

I never get many/any pimples. Maybe when I eat a lot of greasy food..

I use 10% benzoyl peroxide cream at night before bed and salicylic acid in the morning. It's drying, but I have oily skin so it works for me and I have had maybe one zit in the past year.

I didn't have problems with pimples until I got into college. I actually used proactiv before (at one point my skin was so bad and would just get irritated and turn red for no reason) and that didn't really work. Or maybe I didn't use it long enough to work because for some people it actually makes your skin worse before it starts to work. I didn't want to be dependent on it either so I tried various facial wash on the side. It's such a waste to not finish whatever products you buy. I went to a dermatologist too and that didn't help me out one bit. Then I switched to Kanebo facial wash which is really gentle on my skin which is now very sensitive so I've been using it ever since. I love it! =)

I think my problem is something more internal though. I had thyroid problems as well and that also makes your skin worse. It's a lot better now I'll tell you that. Having bad skin can really lower our self-confidence.

It actually does work for some people. Just not all of them.

I hear Murad is better. All those other products like Proactive use benzoyl peroxide which just dries the skin. Murad has natural ingedients and stuff that attacks all types of pimples, not just acne.

neutrogena!
clearsil and clean and clear are too harsh for my skin =(

I just love the DIY -microdermabrasion. Works well for me.
Gatz
you do microdermabrasion on your own?? woah.. that's pretty unheard of. BUt cool nonetheless.

As for me, it's accutane.
Side-effects=who cares, I'd rather that than ugly pimples.

Microdermabrasion tool:

This one is not really for acne in particular..but it collects dead skin cells and lower your pores. Its better than the neutrogena one.
