China is ready to distance itself from North Korea and accept reunification with the South, according to more leaked diplomatic documents.

Amid the cables obtained by WikiLeaks are details about Beijing's frustration with its Communist neighbour.
The Guardian, which is one of the newspapers given direct access to the leaked information, reports senior Chinese officials regard Pyongyang as a "spoiled child".
One senior Chinese diplomat is said to have told an American ambassador that younger generation Communist party leaders no longer regarded North Korea as a useful or reliable ally.
Furthermore, Beijing anticipates the regime will collapse after the death of current leader Kim Jong-Il.
Sky's security editor Sam Kiley said the revelation was sensational.
"Up until now WikiLeaks has told us things we could assume - but this is explosive," he said.
"This is Chinese officials talking to American diplomats, describing North Korea - a close ally that the Chinese have been supporting for decades and supported in a war with the UN - as a 'spoilt child'.
"They also refer to North Korea's nuclear capability as potentially destabilising to world peace.
"This effectively puts the Chinese very much in the American camp in terms of their analysis, at least.
"It is an enormous shift from China's public position, which has supported North Korea, to their private position in talks with American officials."
Tensions between the two Koreas ran high last week when the North launched a missile barrage against the South island of Yeonpyeong.
The paper has also published claims about Prince Andrew's "rude behaviour" during a trade mission in Kyrgyzstan.
He is said to have launched an expletive-laden attack against British anti-corruption investigators and journalists for getting in the way of lucrative trade deals.
The latest revelations come after Hillary Clinton said the US "strongly condemns the illegal disclosure of classified information".
She said the release of the secret diplomatic cables was an "attack on the international community".

Let's just say i don't believe in coincidences.

Whatever Wikileaks leaks is from 1966 onward (leaving out the space between 1991-2003 mysteriously) until March 2010. China might have changed its opinion several times since then.
Captain Corea
If true, it would make me very happy.

I've love to see China as an enthusiastic partner in Korean unification.

Kim Jung-Il left Beijing empty handed on his last visit. North Korea has nothing to offer China except as a buffer zone.

Which country doesn't change their opinion several times?

That isn't the matter here - it's just that people have to remember that these are out of date and not really directives issued by policy makers. They were games and chitchat initially, so who knows what has been decided in the meantime, and why these are released now in this (media) format.

If we're all going to be honest, then everybody hates everybody. But we don't need to have that level of honesty in front of people from other countries: we all talk $hit about everyone, allies included, when they're not there, everyone knows it, and it doesn't necessarily mean anything. So what if China talks $hit about North Korea in private? You really think North Korea doesn't do the same about China when no one's listening?

Exactly. If these leaks came from every nation, it'd no doubt be very much of the same stuff.

I doubt China hates north korea. Since they give the poor nation aid in violation of UN sancions. yet Northing Happens to china. Who continues to trade with North Korea. It's a joke, this charade between the US and North Korea.
PawnStars
Honestly, nobody cares about Korea.

Why are you reviving such an old thread?
KaptainAmeriKa
Is wikileaks fake news? Maybe I make a real world news site for Korea.

If penny pinchin' Jews can do it so can I.
Titanium
China doesn't hate anyone these days (Well except for maybe Japan LOL), she'll be your friend or your enemy depending on what her interests are.

Second that.

So long as U.S. can keep an "evil" Kim Jong Il presence and the allure of a collapsing tyrannical regime, there will be no question as to why US even belongs to NE Asia to begin with.

Status quo helps everyone, except the two Koreas.

seriously, r u being paid by the US to post this ridiculous PR?

Is anyone here even remotely close to believing that China is helping North Korea out of the goodness of their hearts? Is anyone seriously gonna believe that the US heroically fought and died to help the poor hapless Koreans?

the irony of someone like u accusing others of being a PR machine is just utterly amazing.

Seriously, is anyone that utterly clueless? please speak up. I might start a poll here.

are u just creating a new account to post complements for your nutty posts? .. or do u have multiple personalities but not enough creativity to give them distinct personalities?

if u r just a PR machine to label newcomers and push the company line, at least take the time to do it with class. I mean this is just insulting my intelligence.

WTF is the point of reviving a thread from last year? Joseon GTFO
