Yes, it is true.
Fate is a fixed pre-determined path of life that you walk.
It's all laid out and nothing can be changed.
Earth, fire, wood, water, metal.
The cosmo is comprised of these five elements and their respective natures are fixed.
There are 64 ways - as set out in the I Ching - in which you are going to f-u-c-k up depending on how those five elements compose your nature.
Shall I read your fortune?

None of the above. Unless you don't equate fate with determinism.

I don't believe in fate, I believe in cause and effect.
knowledge = wisdom = consciousness = power = self control
ignorance = stupidity = unconsciousness = powerless = reptilian mind

True but also true that GentleWind is an illusion. Gentlewind is also still attaching to illusion.

Yeah, I believe in fate. Sometime things happen that are beyond one control.

Fate is refer to "what has been written" by god or sth.
I don't really believe in fate, as it is down to human's action and determination. We can see that we have some great example for it. F.D Roosevelt also said "We are not the prisoner of fate, we are the prisoner of mind".

Fate can be seen in the tale about a servant who sees Death at the market place staring at him.
The servant gets so scared that he asked his master to go to another town and stay at the hotel there.
Later that night, in the hotel, Death stops by to pick him up
The servant asked why Death was staring at him at the market place.
Death responded that he was surprised to see the servant there cause they had a meeting at the hotel that night.
Well, I didn't tell the tale correctly ... but, fate and free will are intertwined
You get to choose what you want to do ... and it will lead you to your fate ...

If you know you didn't tell the tale correctly, then don't you tell it right?
Is it because you are fated to be a f-u-c-k-u-p that you freely tell it anyhow you like?

I felt it more important to tell the tale than to keep it a secret.
So tell me why you are so self-righteous that you feel the need to tell me that I f---ed up???
Do you feel the need to insult me???
Is it because you are fated to be a f-u-c-k-u-p that you freely tell it anyhow you like?

Fate can be paired up with accounts of inevitablilty. If you are born intellectually superior to everyone else, then it is highly likely that you will wound up contributing something significant to humanity as a whole. Examples of such individuals include: Leonardo Da Vinci, Nikola Tesla, Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton.
If you are born physically superior to everyone else, chances are, you will end up as an occupation that showcases your physical superiority.
If you are born with both of the above traits, you are imba, and I look forward to bowing before your reign of tyranny over this world, oh great, beloved but fearsome leader. Congratulations!
Everyone else unaccounted for are just chaff but do not worry, you have a great purpose in life! Your purpose is to fill the world so it doesn't look empty and unpopulated. Good on you!

Highly likely? Chances are? If fate is about inevitability then what does probability have to do with anything? Don't use this thread as an excuse to express views that have nothing to do with it.

fate only applied to those whose have certain life or death characteristics, as for yourself who lived in what the best have to offer internet, school, travel, jobs, liberty, etc. life is what you make of it is what they often said too bad it is meaningless to someone like myself

Fate, as I understand from Buddhist knowledge, is the reflection of your deeds, from past lives and present. It acts virtually like a mirror. Do good, and good will reflect. But sometimes, when your good deeds from past lives weigh more than bad deeds in present life, that's how you steal, cheat, murder and get good names.
There are countless stories about how people changed fate through deeds. There's this story about a guy who's about to die in a month, but did many life-saving deeds in that period of time and finally, lived for many years longer. So, it's not a pre-destined plan of life that we cannot change. The "unchangeable" element is also a part in this because we can never deny the consequences of our actions. Though you may delay your bad fate by doing good deeds at the moment, one day you're still gonna have to face the bad consequences. Same thing goes to good fate.
So, my point is, Fate=Deeds.
Best of luck, my Friend.
