I am real mongolian from republic of Mongolia, and to prove it I have to say something in mongolian (Minii door bichih ymnuudiig unshaad oorsdiigoo bodoj uzeerei)

Even though I am a mongolian my self, I am having a hard time getting along with rest of the mongolians. I live in rural place in usa where I am the only mongolian. And I go to chicago rarely to visit some family what not (not so frequent). But everytime I go down to chicago, someone has to say something about me. A week ago I met this lady who is 40 something, about my mother's age, through a family member. When me, her and my family hanged out together that day, she thought I was her age or couple years older than she was (I am 21 btw) just because I don't wear stereotypical clothes that most mongolian/asians wear or make-up (usually made by korean) that mongolian girls wear, or have my hair straight like rest of the asian/mongolian population has. She said I need to take better care of myself and change my wardrobe, and change my cosmetics. NOt to mention she think I am very overweight (I am sorry, but my pants size is 5. I am not as skinny as rest of the asian population. And I don't think I am fat). I literally told her to fu-k her self if she can't find something better else to do.

My point is this happen to me all the time (by that I mean everytime I go to mongolian community) Mongolian people are so wrapped up into illusion that everybody has to look like a korean movie-star. If anyone ever has different image than those korean- made idols, then the person is less than a human to mongolians. I mean c'mon, shouldn't people let diversity happen so we explore different things and richin our culture.

Besides what normal people would want to look exactly like 1 billion asian girls??? Rest of the world thinks we all look exactly alike, and to prove that I actually have to have my hair, my make-up, and my clothes just like rest of the asian/mongolians?

I want to be different/individual, and Please respect it!

From the Mongol posters that used to be here, I always got the impression that Mongolian men looked like they were in biker gangs, listened to metal and were into wolves and stuff.

But they look Korean? Sh!iiiiiiiiiiiit.

What is wrong with Burger King and pizza? This is a free country. Elders only give opinions, you don't need to obey them. Why you want to imitate the Korean and Japanese women who have flat bodies, and just let them curves come out instead? If them ti.tties and bootay are natural, you got to show what God gave you and not try to hide or eliminate them.

You'll lose weight if you try to stand everytime you eat. This cut down on the duration of the meal and reduces Caloric intake.

Same for words for you as above. PLus, sitting and eating is much healthier because it fills you up faster. If you want to give some advise, please at least do some research about the topic!!!!

They already proved that your body shuts down on Lipase everytime you sit.

Physiologists And Microbiologists Find Link Between Sitting And Poor Health

June 1, 2008 — Physiologists analyzing obesity, heart disease, and diabetes found that the act of sitting shuts down the circulation of a fat-absorbing enzyme called lipase. They found that standing up engages muscles and promotes the distribution of lipase, which prompts the body to process fat and cholesterol, independent of the amount of time spent exercising. They also found that standing up uses blood glucose and may discourage the development of diabetes.

You're probably sitting down right now. Well, by the time you're done reading this, you may see sitting in a whole new way!

"Chair time is an insidious hazard because people haven't been told it's a hazard," Marc Hamilton, Ph.D., a professor of biomedical sciences at the University of Missouri in Columbia, told Ivanhoe.

That's right -- the time you sit in your chair could be keeping your body's fat burning in park! More than 47 million adults in the United States have metabolic syndrome, which causes obesity, diabetes and heart disease. Biomedical researchers from the say the reason so many of us have the condition is because we sit too much!

"The existing data, by numerous studies, are starting to show that the rates of heart disease and diabetes and obesity are doubled or sometimes even tripled in people who sit a lot," Dr. Hamilton explains. One reason, he says, is an enzyme called lipase. When it's on, fat is absorbed into the muscles, but when we sit down, lipase virtually shuts off.

"Instead, the fat will recirculate in the blood stream and go and be stored as body fat or it can clog arteries and cause diseases," Dr. Hamilton says. And it's not a small amount of fat. Plasma samples were taken from the same person after eating the same meal. When they ate sitting down, the sample was cloudy, but when they ate while standing up, it was clear.

"If you can perform a behavior while sitting or standing, I would choose standing," Dr. Hamilton says. That's why he swapped his desk chair for a treadmill.

Not ready for that step? "You can have just as much fun watching your kids play if you're standing by the fence, next to a friend who pulls out that aluminum lawn chair and is sitting there," Dr. Hamilton advises.

You can also limit chair time by taking frequent breaks at work to stand and walk around. Stand up while talking on the phone or even while watching TV.

Standing also helps shrink your waistline! The average person can burn an extra 60 calories an hour just by standing! "But just avoid the chair is the simple recommendation, as much as you can," Dr. Hamilton says. That's advice worth a standing ovation!

Another benefit to standing -- it improves your HDL or good cholesterol levels. People who sat reduced their good cholesterol levels by 22 percent!

ABOUT TYPE I DIABETES: This is known as an autoimmune disease, because the body destroys its own cells: those that produce insulin. When all those cells have been destroyed, the symptoms of Type I diabetes appear. These include unexplained weight loss; vision problems; more frequent urination; and feeling very hungry, thirsty or tired. Among other long-term complications, Type I diabetes means there is an increased risk of kidney failure, nerve damage, heart disease and blindness.

WHAT IS ARTERY PLAQUE: Plaque doesn't just grow on your teeth. It can also form inside your arteries -- the blood vessels that carry oxygen and blood to the heart, brain and other parts of the body. Arteries have an inner layer of muscle. When it is damaged, plaque can form, sometimes leading to a bulge in the wall of the artery. The bulges can grow big enough to cause the inner lining to rupture. The body responds by sending clotting fibers to the damaged site.

Minerals, especially calcium, can become trapped in the net of fibers, and so can fats like cholesterol. The minerals and fats build up over time, causing the arteries to narrow. Blood can't flow so easily through the restricted arteries. The arteries can also become clogged, stopping blood flow completely.

She wants you to look better to help you succeed in your life. I don't see where the problem is, you may have a different perception of beauty than the world that is fine. The problem with your logic is the world will judge you regardless of your views and the worlds views will have real consequences in your life. You can either try to take advantage of this and refine yourself, conform and be that much closer to your real goals or you can fight against the current and risk not reaching your potential.

Women are already in a lower echelon of society, if you don't utilize all your advantages it'll be that much harder.
You seem too hung up on looks something superficial, try to be fit. If you look like a Kpop star and a physicist you're still badass physicist.
