* Moisturize and use sunscreen daily - even on cloudy days because 80% of the sun's rays still come through

* drink green tea and hot chocolate every day

* stay away from starchy and sugary foods - those accelerate aging. Instead, eat plenty of dark green vegetables, salmon, and darkly colored berries (e.g. blueberries, strawberries, raisins).

* try not to stress. Set aside a little time for yourself every day to unwind.

* use undereye cream every night.

* don't neglect your neck - it'll look weird if you have this youthful-looking face and an aging neck. thumbsdown.gif

Hot chocolate has 6 times the amount of antioxidants as green tea. Of course, most brands contain sugars, so you've gotta watch out for that. And make it with water, no milk. If you don't want to drink hot chocolate then you can substitute a piece of dark chocolate instead. DARK, not milk chocolate or white. Oh, and don't drink milk with it - the proteins in milk will interfere with antioxidant absorption.

About wearing sunblock at home - I would think that it would depend on how much sunlight enters your home. Most people don't know this, but even the artificial lights at home deliver tiny amounts of UV rays to your skin. Not as bad as the sun, but it's still not that good for the skin.

work out. eat healthy. enjoy life. don't let stress get to you too much.

go into denial LOL. j/k

1) skin - always use sunscreen, healthy diet, drink lotsa water, moisturise day/night
2) protect the eyes - it is the one feature that really shows a person's age. sleep well, use eye cream/eye mask, avoid straining.
3) go for regular facials - which i must admit i haven't been doing. :P

It's not actually the hot chocolate at all that has the antioxidants it's the cocoa its made from. Chocolate is just cocoa with the antioxidants and goodness removed. icon_wink.gif ... I doubt milk has much effect on it.

chatterbox, if you want to slow aging more I recommend looking at this website, especially since you said in the other thread you don't like eating a lot of food: http://calorierestriction.org . Another website about trying to prevent aging is http://imminst.org

then what about eye cream? same incredients too? i beg to differ. i'm sure they're eye cream/mask for a reason. if normal moisturiser can do the job why do you need them, right? a good eye cream/mask is not cheap so i don't think it is something normal moisturiser can replace.

i've been using both and i can tell ya, it really helps. my eye bags used to be really bad. even my mom n friends say they hv noticed an improvement. PLUS i started sleeping earlier, of cos.

Count your calories, you might be surprised. Recently I thought I was eating way too much and would be way over what I was before, I hadn't even exercised one bit but no I was just the exact same 150 pounds. As well if you do a lot of physical activity obviously that is going to expend some of your energy. If you really are eating over maybe 2400+ calories and still weigh under what you want you should see a doctor about it because your body may not be that good at absorbing foods, nutrients included.

avoid too much sun, not squint my eyes too much, and I try to avoid stress.. (keyword try)

This might be helpful as well, I read this somewhere.

The Youthful You:
Ten Tips to Slow the Effects of Aging
1 GET ACTIVE AND STAY ACTIVE
2 DON’T OVEREAT (stick to a healthy diet)
3 DON’T SMOKE AND DON’T HANG AROUND SMOKERS. Tobacco smoke (even the organic, additive-free kind) is full of free radicals, those highly-charged molecules that like to bounce around inside your body and tear little bits of it apart. This causes all your organs, not just your lungs, to age must faster than nature intended.
4 MAKE YOURSELF SOME SHADE (stay out of the sun)
5 DRINK WATER(keep hydrated)
6 AVOID TRANS FATTY ACIDS (unnatural fats) Trans fatty acids can actually scratch your blood vessels and poke tiny holes in them, making the surfaces rough and hence a prime target for plaque buildup. The most common sources of trans fatty acids are fried foods, margarine, solid shortening, and commercial baked goods. If the word "hydrogenated" appears in the list of ingredients, choose something else.
7 CHOOSE NON-ALUMINUM COOKWARE. Or try good old-fashioned cast iron. It won’t deposit aluminum in your brain, and it will give you a small dose of iron in your food to boot!
8 GET ENOUGH SLEEP Lack of sleep keeps the body from properly repairing itself.
9 GET A HANDLE ON STRESS. Stress can make you old before your time.
10 BUILD YOURSELF A SUPPORT SYSTEM. Emotional support is vital to your health.
