When my relatively new room mate was about to leave the apartment i went to her room and said that I love her and that I will be missing her (She is going for France for a month). She said that WE JUST KNOW EACH OTHER FOR A FEW WEEKS.

What does this "we just know each other for a few weeks only" mean? Is the answer bad or good for me?

What that means is "Love" is a strong word~
You cant just tell someone you love them after knowing them for a few weeks or sometimes not even a couple months .....really.....thats way quick. You probably made her feel weird...If i was her i woulda gave you a weird look and said "no you dont"....
I actually get upset if someone tells me that word unless time goes by ....lots of time~
Tell her it was a miscommunication and what you really meant was that you think shes cool and enjoy her company...try and recover face. haha

In my opinion, she doesn't believe that you will miss her because you've been in the same room for a few weeks. Maybe you weren't closed to each other and she treated you just an acquaintance.

basically this. and love is too strong a word, can't just be spewing it out to someone you've met recently and expect reciprocation. it's also probably just infatuation so take your time and manage your feelings; are you in contact with few women? that might make you put her on a pedestal. just saying.
