Taiwanese people used to speak Hokkien which is a language from the Chinese province of Fujian. Fujian was the ancestral home of most modern-day Taiwanese. When the KMT came to power, Mandarin became the official language of Taiwan. The result is that even overseas Taiwanese like myself speak Hokkien better than the average Taiwanese from Taiwan.

I haven't seen a lot of Taiwanese who speak Cantonese. Some Taiwanese people trace their ancestry to Guangdong though.

i totally agree with this and it's actually a high quality genetic attribute. this tends to translate to more honesty in relationships and also better spouses/parents. that is why in general, asians are more compatible with asians. when asians love, their love tends to be deep, sincere and more lasting.

it's something that has to be intuitively understood. it doesn't mean that all asians are monogamous, it's just that asians have a "tendency" or lean more toward serious relationships in comparison to others. i think this is true for the most part.

as for statistics, you just have to connect the dots for those who need everything spelled out. asians tend to lose their virginity later than others, not have as much incidence of teenage pregnancy, tend to pour more effort into their children or not have as much children they can't take care of etc. this probably does have something to do with genetics as well or temperament because they also are not as high on testosterone as other races etc. this translates to a tendency, not emphatically in every case, that asians may be more inclined to be responsible/serious or at least more conscientious to some extent.

that said, due to western influence some of this is changing. some results progressively positive, some negative.

Castration is the most extreme form of reaction against a cheating husband/boyfriend. Obviously only a small minority of Asian females would do it. Most people deal with it in other less extreme ways. Maybe they just become very depressed over a period of time or maybe they lose faith in the male gender or some other thing. I wonder if the average Asian woman would be more depressed when her mate cheats on her than say the average black woman.

It's a traditional values thing. It's not that Asians are more capable of it, it's that Asians still value it more than most other races do. If it were strictly an Asian thing you wouldn't see everyone I know my grandparents' age (white, black, etc) who've been in 50+ year marriages.

First of all, I find it peculiar and rather amusing how all of the documented penis related assaults have involved Chinese women. I have no educated explanation for why that it's the case. Most of the worst conflicts in history by casualty have involved China in some form or another.

Next, it's ignorant to claim that any race or ethnicity is less attractive than another. Everyone is entitled to his/her own preferences. Besides, beauty and attractiveness is generally co-related with how developed a country is. It's more difficult for men/women from 3rd world countries to maintain a lifestyle that makes them attractive. If you are well to do, and you are still unattractive, it may be an unfortunate stroke of luck or lack of desire to be attractive.

Finally, wikipedia isn't as UNreliable of a source as many think it is. Just because anyone can edit wikipedia, it doesn't mean that unsourced and uncited content goes without being checked by moderators. Maybe if there was a certain piece of information that you don't like, and it was cited, you should probably take the link and check if it's genuine; it's not that hard. I am pretty sure Ho Chi Minh had a Chinese wife/girlfriend/concubine/slut friend.
