korean husband are still treat their wives bad????

many of they don't respect women.
sometimes, i think their wives look like their servants.
korean husbands give many pepople bad impression.

i hope korean girls can have good husband.
but first, they should be more independent than they used to be.
ksurf3rgrl
what? That's not true (well depending on the guy), my dad treats my mom like god. Where are you getting this from. A lot of Korean guys I know are really sweet.

I don't think you should judge them as a whole, but yes there are bad husbands. But not all of them are like that. Between you know there are the "good" and the "bad" for every ethnic group, right?

hope you're not trying to start something icon_confused.gif

It's said that korean guys treat wives rudely and don't do hourswork,
they drink achohol until night,etc.

i get to know it from many korean soap operas, korean ladies and so on.

haha, your mother is a lucky lady.
but you know, U.S.A is different from Korea.

I agree, i had seen a lot of abusive Korean men, and those girls can't speak up. poor girls cry2.gif

first of all, I don't watch Korean movies or Series. I seen all these abusive men from my Korean neighboard, my Korean best friends and so on....

I don't like a control freak husband .
ksurf3rgrl
no.. my parents met each other growing up in Korea.. until they moved to the states in their early 30's.. then I was born.

Just because you see it on "soap operas" doesn't mean it's true, they're "acting". In real life it's like that for some guys that went through bad situations in life. But no, Korean husbands aren't like that as a "whole".. not all of them are wifebeaters. But yes there are some that are like that.

But remember it's not "just Koreans" like you're making it out to be

It's just her usual line of questions...she's posted something like this before also.

So if I notice my chinese+viet friends moms do all the cooking, cleaning, and what not I should suspect them of abuse? I mean they parallel my parents almost exactly. Dad goes work, comes home, mom makes dinner and they watch videos the rest of the night lol. I dunno how that's a servant seeing as how almost every family parallels this situation (except the videos maybe hehe). You know non asians do the same thing??? It's amazing how koreans are always the worst. Ignorance.

hehe, my dad does dishes and vaccum and cooks (what he can...) lol. Mainly beef

Do u seriously believe everything soap dramas showed u?
As u said, that's SOAP DRAMA.
In Korea, it's still a male dominated world but most men aren't beating their wives up or something.
They may have affairs outside (very common) but they will still bring home the bacon and take care of their families.

bah.. they're not korean, so how would they know, right?

see for yourself by marrying a korean guy, than judge. lol

it's pretty stupid for some people to judge and really have no experience.. but just by what they see on tv.

hehe...you've never watched krn soaps and if you did you'd think korea is
1. Filled with people who are trying to get married but their parents don't approve cause he's not of their status
2. That every love story ends with someone dying

My dad vaccums, does light cooking, and does some light cleaning (mainly my bathroom when i'm home since he believes it's so dirty)
ksurf3rgrl

but still honey you don't go on believeing everything, unless your gullable. It's acting, it gives a kick to a soap opera.. making it more interesting (not really) for people to watch. Like the movies here in the states alot of violence involved, right? It's just acting.

my dad does house work all the time.. he vaccums, washes the dishes, even cooks sometimes.. does ALOT of outdoor working like what husbands do.

please stop here, you don't know.. so don't go on stressing yourself about it.

omg.. for every drama there are aspects that are TRUE and NOT TRUE. But the whole stereotype about korean husbands treating their wives bad isn't true. There are SOME but not as a WHOLE.. ok? You get what I'm saying?

about my dad doing the housework, yeah he does. But he's just one out of the many. I know his friends who do the same.

Talktohand.gif Oh please! Then should we all watch family matters and think every black family has no problems? We should just tune in to Full House and say every American household is perfect? Jesus, Television is television.
Do Korean men beat their wives?
Some.
Do American men beat their wives?
Some.
Do Japanese men beat their wives?
Some.
Do Chinese men beat their wives?
Some.

yea it's just a soap draama as you said. however, it should always reflects the reality so that it can excite the watchers' sympathy. some of you deny it taking an instance of what your dad do for your mom and family. but in the end that is just your personal case. besides you guys live in a western society, not in the native land. korean men's attitudes toward their women have been better but in substance, unfortunately, they haven't changed completely.

Btw. where are you from? Some of you're own people are like that too you know. Like any other country. -Oh wait a minute you just said Chinese husbands aren't chauvanistic. LOL

lovelyfart:

Well the fact that he is a good husband and can't even speak english very well. And has always been like that ever since he lived in Korea. The fact that it IS true alot of Korean husbands do treat their wives well. Not just my dad.. he's one out of the many. It's like you saying yeah I've seen a korean guy treat his wife bad.. so that means all of them are like that. Get what I'm saying?
