For Foreigners, my best suggestions are the following cities.....

-- Mumbai
-- New Delhi
-- Chandigarh
-- Banglore

If you wish to live in a more scenic area, try Shimla in Himachal Pardesh.

Yup.. Mumbai is best choice. Specially if you like to enjoy night life. Even Goa is nice place. Specially if u r on long vacation.

I live in Mumbai and I love the city. But you can never have the real taste of India by just living in one city. You see, India is like many countries put together in one. Mumbai is perhaps the best option if one wants to make a home in India but if you're looking for a nice long vacation it's better to go to some unknown corner of the country. Or maybe some tourist hot-spots like Kerela, Goa Shimla or maybe even the north east.
