Ratio of Filipino Diocesan/Religious Priest to Filipino Catholics: 1:8,365
LOL that ratio is alot though.
would you be a priest?
If that is what God has planned for me then yes.
How about you, would you be an priest?
fu-k no. i'm no catholic, and i never wanted to be one.
i wouldn't mind being a minister in our church...but my point is you're asking people to volunteer to such a task that you might not want to do yourself.
I bet if they got rid of the seperation of church and state law. An whole bunch of people would want to be priests.

i would not call myself filipino if that happens, i think my ancestors died so much for freedom and democracy that i'd shame them. that'll be no difference, (maybe slightly cuz i'm sure the church still has influence in phil govt.) back with those perverted spanish friars.
but as long as they let priest marry, or priest to have less restrictions like protestants, i still would think that alot of newage kids would prefer not to go seminarians still.
The reason priests aren't allowed to marry is so they can devote their life to God. Its an sacrifice they will have to make if they want to be an priest.
i'm not saying anything about that belief. sure if that;s the belief i've no problem with that, i got my own.
all i'm saying is seriously, would you aspire to be a priest, whoever especially new age kids growing up in this time, when you know that you'd never be able (at least legally/morally) to have sex, drinking, kids, family etc.
