AFTER more than four months of preparation, grinding and sifting, ABS-CBN's Star Circle National Teen Quest has trimmed its pool of talents from over 15,000 to five.
The last ones standing are Charles Christianson, Paw Diaz, Arron Villaflor, Erich Gancayco and DM Sevilla.
Charles is an avid Robin Padilla fan who unabashedly admits that to play the former "bad boy" of Philippine cinema is his ultimate dream role.
Still, making it to the top 10 of the competition came as a surprise to this 18-year-old who definitely makes Davao proud. Those who have come to know him vouch for his simplicity and being a hard worker.
DM pledged his adoration for Kris Aquino on national television. He wowed the crowd at a karaoke challenge. He boasts of a passion for dancing and singing.
At 17, he has jump-started a career in the industry, building his own fan base from the the start of the show.
When asked about his hidden talent, he said it is cooking. A jack of many trades.
Paw is beauty and brains. But she is more than great looks. She was the valedictorian of her class. She swings from knitting to rappelling and gained the audience's vote with her knack for acting.
Arron, once tagged as the Ya Chang look-alike of the group, has proved that age is not just a number.
Being one of the youngest in the group, 14-year-old Arron has faced several challenges and won the Yakisoba choice award.
His inclination toward celebrity was evident even in his earlier years. "Since I was a kid, I've always wanted to be an artista," he says.
Like Charles, Arron looks up to Robin Padilla and would love to perform side-by-side with his idol.
Erich's desire to be an actress is so fiery that every challenge on Star Circle National Teen Quest improved her skill. At the taping of the segment "My Homecoming," Erich shared that she was so surprised to see that her hometown in Davao was so supportive of her.
Still days away from the "Star Circle National Teen Quest" finals, Erich has already been linked to stars like Hero Angeles.
After only four months, "Star Circle National Teen Quest" has made these teens into stars-to-be, and boosted their confidence, passion and talent.
The moment of truth nears as "Star Circle National Teen Quest" Grand Questor's Night happens tomorrow, Saturday, at the Ultra.
The ultimate questor will be awarded P4 million in cash and contracts.
Stars and other celebrities will be present to give the grand questor a star-studded welcome. "Star Circle Quest" batch 1 winners Hero, Sandara Park, Roxanne Guinoo, Melissa Ricks and Joross Gamboa will be present, together with other glittering names in the industry.
ABS-CBN will also feature live point coverages from each questor's hometowns in Davao, Tarlac, Bulacan and Laguna.
