American audiences are well aware that Japan knows its way around successful entertainment -- we've borrowed/remade some of their classic horror movies, like The Ring and even took their uber-popular kids show, Power Rangers and turned it into a recognizable brand for most American tykes.
Now, according to Collider, Hollywood has decided to give Takashi Mike's Ninja Kids!!! the magical Amurican touch.
Ninja Kids!!! originated as a manga and TV anime series over in Japan called Nintama Rantaro, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Mike recently turned the comics into a live-action family friendly comedy, and it has already caught the eye of Hollywood producers.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the distribution rights are currently being negotiated with a "major production company," but exact details are undisclosed for now.
The series stars popular Japanese kid actor Seishiro Kato as a first grader who is sent to a ninja school by his parents.
Adorable kids, family-friendly comedy, butt-kicking and excessive exclamation points? It's not hard to see why Hollywood thinks Ninja Kids!!! would be a hit with American audiences, although it's unclear as to whether they plan to use the rights for a television series or movie franchise.

Why remake? Why not just subtitle or dub in English like they do with Anime?
It sickens me that America can't view a movie full of Asian faces. I bet the only reason Hollywood doesn't remake Chinese Kung Fu movies is because they can't do the fight scenes even with the help of CG!
