I guess I mean what do you think of how asians are known for animal cruelty and what can we do to stop this or change our cultures to change this?

Good God. I hate being part of an ethnicity known for $hit like this. Sure the West has animal cruelty problems too but not nearly as bad as China/the east.

i used to be heavily into animal rights. i was even a vegan for almost a year.

but then all of a sudden i just stopped caring. i mean i'll still give money to the humane society and stuff, but animal abuse imagery just don't faze me like it used to.

the west has human cruelty problems. you know how fked up they are when they care more about the rights of cows to not suffer, while they bomb Libyans for oil?

doesn't stop them from being the superior race many of us dumb yellow colonial slaves look up to does it?

All nations do bad things for oil.

Why does China give weapons to Sudan in return for oil?

The only way China can stop this is through Buddhist vegetarianism.

Cruelty to animals to gain emotional excitement is wrong, but cruelty because on process is cheaper than another is a different issue.

The prime objective should be to bring healthy, low cost food and products to the consumer.

Also, people are showing their preferences by purchasing one product over another. The flow of money shows they care about fat free, cholesterol free, sugar free even gluten free! but not 'cruelty free'.

I only see issue with actively killing people, to steal their goods. In the civilized world we call that robbery.

So if someone is stabbed to death with a fruit knife, the fruit knife manufacturer is at fault, and equally guilty as someone who takes a gun and kills people in a robbery.

No. A more suitable analogy is selling a knife to someone who is known to murder people.

I don't know why you're taking this personally. I have said that all countries are guilty of doing these sorts of things.

China isn't even that big of an arms dealer. Look at U.S., Canada, and a LOT of western european countries.

the number of people killed by Sudan pales compared to the amount killed by the US. in the 1930's 7 million Americans starved to death even as barges of food were sent to the ocean to dump them in order to not deflate food prices, how fked up is that?

Animal lovers are fu-king hypocrites.

Nothing pisses me off more than people who claim they love all animals and yet get repulsed and treat other animals differently that don't fit "their" definition of cute and cuddly.

2 white female grad students, probably in humanities or social sciences, were talking about how cruel animal cruelty was especially the fate of cows in slaughterhouses. this was as they were eating a burger in the school food lounge.

the news came up on Israeli airstrikes hitting a hospital in Gaza killing innocent doctors and patients.

they looked up at the TV. looked back at each other.

"hey, i think slaughterhouses are really inhumane!"

typical western logic.
