Fate has caused our separation,
We are distant physically and geographically,
But, our hearts will always unite our love.

i never really looked at the dialects side by side before but some things definately jump out. the most striking similarity is the uniform use of a 'classifier'. the exception being only the Hmub, they all use:

PEB "LUB"
BOUB " LEB"
PIB "LWB"

the pattern of where that 'classifier' falls in the sentence is the clearest sign that the dialects definately share a common structure and stratum. i mean its nothing surprising because actual linguistic researchers have already studied the dialects and declared they all are related and named it the 'miao-yao' language. its just the first time i've seen them side by side like that where you can 'see' the similarities because its hard to 'hear' the similarities. im also surprised the Hmub dialect had the most striking differences. i was kinda expecting it to be the Qho Xiong. learn something new every day.

hmmm, you are niamtxiv. embarassedlaugh.gif

and you're also xeemlauj, qaib, and all those others. When are you going to stop acting like you're smarter than everyone here and that you're so witty with your multiple accounts and schizophrenia. embarassedlaugh.gif

you jelly? i sense someone who is an angry retard on af. embarassedlaugh.gif
take a chill pill and get some friends.

how can i be niamtxiv? oh wait, because i'm interested in the same things?
when did i act smart? because you assume i'm niamtxiv?
don't be jelly that niamtxiv had an impact on you.
i don't see you having anything to show.

this is Hmong chat, this thread made by me is for Hmong people, not you.

the person who is having multiple personality might be you. embarassedlaugh.gif
have you forgotten that this is the world wide web and anyone can access it? embarassedlaugh.gif

No bc someone pmed me that u r niamtxiv and you guys have the same schizophrenic attitude and even use the same quotes. I don't have a youtube account and even when i do use youtube, you can be sure i don't go around looking at $hitty internet warrior/"historian" videos. embarassedlaugh.gif

If there is one thing i know about you (other than your schizophrenia and your smarter than thou attitude), its that you have no problems lying with a straight face. Apparently your ancestors teach you legends but didn't teach you not to lie LOL. embarassedlaugh.gif
cocopuffchild
and what are you trying to prove? embarassedlaugh.gif someone PMS you? I didn't know niamtxiv was that important to you. embarassedlaugh.gif embarassedlaugh.gif

number 1, this thread has nothing to do with you and your irrelevant comments. confused.gif

do you know what is "peb lub npe hu ua Hmoob?"

You know, I am surprised that Qho Xiong share some similar words to Hmong than the Hmub; however, the Hmub also share many words that are similar to Hmong than the Qho Xiong. Many Hmong scholars such as Yuepheng, Gary Yia Lee, Thomas Vang and so on even stated that Hmub share 40 to 50% linguistically similar.

The word for "three" in Iu Mien is "BOUB." Interestingly, the numeral system of Qho Xiong is similar to Mienic; however, the structure is more Hmong.
