In the past few years, there have been efforts to introduce Angkorian elements into the costumes of contemporary Cambodian court dance. This process is the start of re-Cambodianizing the court dance and moving away from the Siamese influence. Although it still retains some Siamese influence (in the choreography and music, but also the 3 cloths in the front which is not seen in any bas-relief), the headdress are styled after Devatas and Asuras from the gate of Angkor Thom....

Cheers

biggthumpup.gif Good job...as you said, although it still retain some Siamese influence(including the way they made and fold their pant),but it moving toward your distinctive style...again good job...

P.S.in my opinion...it's o.k. If some elements of others still retained, I don't think you even need to get rid of all of the Indian and Javanese or even the Siamese element, as long as you could modify them to reach the level of uniqueness(since none of SEAian culture are pure)...and here is a very good jump start...cool!

Finally!! No more of those ugly tacky mess with those ugly sharp crowns and ugly outfits. These look better!! I told you that Khmer isn't as tacky and cheap as Thai costumes. Anything Thai hurts my eyes.
