-being falsely accused and convicted of child molestation
-going to prison for 5 years and being repeatedly beaten and anally raped by other inmates
-getting released and returning to family and friends who want nothing to do with you
-being a registered sex offender and never being able to find employment and having all neighbors be terrified of you
yeah, i'd just commit suicide. that'd be the worst life imaginable.
I might be bringing up a different subject, but since you're talking about harrassment I'll say it anyway.
I remember my older cousins who had an easier time on dating girls they randomly met. This was back in the late '90s in Korea. People trusted each other in those days. Even my woman cousin and her friends called random rooms in a ski resort to find guys to date with. It was a very innocent time.
It's different now. People get suspicious of people who approach first thinking that they are probably being approached by a player who'd cheat. And after news of harrassment and other crimes started to appear on the news some years ago, I can't imagine anyone doing what the young Koreans of the '90s did. Women talk about stalkers more nowadays. I think it was the same with the US except the change started much earlier. I few men ruined it for the rest of the younger generation.
My friendship with the women I befriended with began with them approaching me first. I'm afraid to approach a woman first because in case she doesn't trust me.
