im sure ima get flamed for this but...i don't like it when the women play the qeej. it doesn't look feminine or graceful. the traditional qeej playing style and dancing style has a lot of machismo undertones and don't suit women. ok, flame away.

i honestly think that is is beautiful, just because hmong lao women does not blow the qeej does not mean it limits hmong chinese girls, i think it is so unique and nice that they r keeping their traditions and i like the dance, qeej are u and mudfish the same person seriously jk lol. and girls do wat u do, forget about the hasterz cuzz they can't dance. u rock it y'all look so elegant and yeah hmong lao don't recognize girls doing these dances because it is not in our cultural norms in our hmong lao community but it it theirs so i respect that

Our children carry the father's clan, our children carry the mother's clothes. By that I mean, Hmong are known by the clothing their mother make and they are known by the clan their father are from.

Girls with qeejs are hot, especially them Hmong-Chinese girls who jump alot and can really play. Gotta have mad skills to do such crazy acrobats and still blow the correct notes, lol. Awesome vids, guys!
