In China, chinese everywhere are trying to become westernized and make money and cash in on China's rapidly growing economy. There's a lot of fervor and passion in the country where development is happening so fast.
How about Japan? Its been modern for decades now. What are the issues facing the Japanese? What are they concerned about? Do they still work very hard? Are there still a lot of passionate young Japanese who seek to make Japan greater?
To me, it seems like the fervor of the Japanese has cooled down. Perhaps because their economy peaked and there's not as much rapid growth. and maybe because the quality of life of the common Japanese is already very comfortable and there isn't really anything to go for.

They should promote japanese culture aspects like music and movies. There are a lot of misconceptions about japanese and prejudices against japan. Actually there is this idea of Asia being inferior, inferior in music, movies, fashion, people. We should all, as asians, contribute to a better and truefuller image of Asia. Dont you guys think?
And people, people, there is no such thing as western. When you talk about westerners you have the idea of white people. And with the term western, people think of modern, advanced. So you people create this idea of white people being modern, advanced, being superior.
You should stop using the words westernized, western, westerner.
Japan has brought the most advanced and modern technologies and is a modern society, but it isn't thought to be a western country, but a westernized one. As if white people have brought all the ideas. No, I don't think so.
And there are a lot of differences between the white countries. Like in Europe, I personally don't think there is really a European Union. The cultural aspects are so different. But I think they came up with this Union-idea, because they know they can't stand up against superpowers like the us and china.
Actually a lot of countries in the continent Europe are inferior on different terretories to Japan and several other Asian countries like Korea and China.
Like Holland, theire entertainment is really boring, almost non-existent. They have only a few of those tabloids, glossies. And there are mostly old dutch celebrities in it, also young people, and a loooot of Hollywood and american celebrities since they don't have their own real stardom. They have a crappy movieindustrie and even a crappier music-industry, which means there is almost no real dutch entetainment industries There is really no glamour in this country. People especially listen to American music, like rap and stuff. And if there are pop or rocksingers, just a few, they sing it it in english, because its sounds quite funny, fake, stupid in dutch.
Japan does have a great entertainment industry. With celebrities and their fandoms, magazines.
People, just don't think a white country is great just because it's white and "western". I think America has the greatest influences on the European countries and their modern lifestyles. These influences have been assimilated in their cultures. But if Japan or another Asian country is influenced, it is being "westernized and it will never be a western country. but i don't want it to be seen as western, because western sounds for most people white, like westerners and asians as opposites. Just call it modern, please.
