The name of Hong Maenha regained respect among boat race aficionados yesterday after the Hong Maenha 2 crew powered their way to victory in the traditional boat category.
The Hong Maenha boat ( foreground ) runs a closely fought final race against the Hadsiaw crew.
The boat last tasted victory in 1990 after first taking the crown in 1974 and at every boat racing festival in the intervening years.
