1. farang is also a derogatory word. Stop using farang and Ill stop using the term ¨Jek¨
You don't know Thai at all. I doubt that you are Thai. Farang is NOT derogatory word. It's normal word like Kaek, Jin, Lao, Khamen, Bamar, Yuan, Yeepoon, Gaolee. These are normal cultural/ethnic names. Thais have been using these words hundred years!. But Jek is derogatory, it was created by the time that the word Jin already exist, to look down on Chinese. Normal Thais won't use Jek to address Chinese, Thais use Jin normally, use Luk Jin (son/daughter of Chinese) to call mixed Chinese-Thais. Jek is not used publicly in TV or governments official, why? becos it's truly insult word. I read Red shirt website everyday, I voted Yingluck. I see people call Yellow shirt's Sonthi Lim as Jek Lim all the time but I don't see any Reds call Thanksin or Yingluck as Jek even they are Luk Jin. Why? If you are real Thai you would know this. If you don't respect others, how can you get respect back? It's obvious that's my favor to Chinese/Japanese/Korean really piss you. Thais have so much love to give, why you upset? Thai created a novel to promote Thai-Japanese good relation, after we went through bad WW II memory. Why you got upset? Or you love to see Thais hate Japanese like you hate Chinese?

2. taiwan japan and <Korea all developed without having to learn English. No English iwas not a hinderance to success pre internet age and pre globalisation age. English without proper Education is also not a key to success. Just look at the Philipines!!!! Strong intelligent nations do not and have never needed English to develop. However Thailand is not one of those strong N E Asian nations. In todays world as more and more nations use English as their medium of linguistic exchange Thailand will be left behind. As I mentioned earlier English has never and will never make the Philippines rich howevwer just imagine if Filipinos spoke no English??? 30% of GDP comes from overseas remittances with spill over effects to maybe another 20% of overall GDP. Ignoring English will leave Thailand isolated. When laos Viets and Cambodians attend international conferences they will be able to participate effectively while the Thai will be wearing clumsy headsets. Access to new ideas is mostly via written English. Most doctoral Thesis and academic publications are now also available in english. So if U wanna follow K pop or T pop go ahead and learn some Chinese or Korean. These languages in my opinion are also important but they are not global.
I said Thais don't need to speak English if their jobs don't require any English skill. so there is still nothing wrong with my opinion. and I said Thai should learn Mandarin bcos China is near and, China is to be new super power nation, Chinese speaker are very huge number. If a Thai can speak Mandarin, he/she can automatically communicate to 1000+ million people in China. While if he/she learn English, then how many Chinese in China that can speak English? You do the math. Moreover Mandarin is really easy for Thais to learn. It's take Thais a few months to be fluent in Chinese language, but for English, it's different story like black and white. It takes years for Thai speakers to master English language, there are so many burdens, both language grammar and pronunciation.

3 Maybe you are from the lower class who is not intelligent or hard working enough to learn English. Or maybe you are one of the Jek elite who do not want Thais ( Yep real Thais) to learn English lest they get too many democratic ideas and use them to overthrow the jek stranglehold on thai economy and politics.
That's too much negative thinking. It's purely from your desperate mind. You must be from a bannork province. Redneck people automatically hate city people and vice versa. LOL Sadly most Chinese Thai are in Bangkok, It may make you feel stranger and minority when you come to Bangkok. LOL But don't be. Bangkok is for every Thais, not Chinese Thais. Dam, I voted Yingluck I sympathized Redshirt when they got shot last year, but there are still some Red hotheads hate Chinese Thais thinking they are all Yellow. I think some hotheads (both Red and Yellow) must adjust their thinking, becos in real world, it's not like what they are dreaming. I may favor Chinese bcos I am a Luk Jeen, but it doesn't make me less Thai than any Thais. Aren't Thais diverse? Why you so piss when Thais promote East Asian culture? China and Asia are the future not the western world. Farang are old and declining power, why bother learning their language? Thailand education teach Thai kids to learn English as a second language. Actually Thai kids are forced to learn it. But as you can see Thais' English still suck. With or without your assuming Jek elite power, Thai kids still don't want to learn English and suck about it? And many Thai teens love learning Chinese/Korean/Japanese more. Why? I don't blame Thai kids ability, I blame on the difference between Thai and English language. I also blame on various bastardized speaking versions of English speakers. LOL

4. Thai is a beatiful language both spoken and when sung. When you write ¨we should only speak Thai¨ validates just about every point I have made thus far!!!!! Better just write in Thai on this board if u feel that way or maybe go join China chat where you may feel more comfortable with your jek bretheren.
Can you read it if I write in Thai? อ่านออกเหรอไอ้รูกูไวซ์
In real life I've never met any Thais say silly thing like this to me, I must thank Internet though. LOL My relatives still live in China, also some in Singapore. If in the future, you Red bastards going to burn my hometown Bangkok to the ground again, I will move to Singapore.

I am bored of this silly color politics. I'll be back again until the real Thais already check you politic maniac. LOL My Chinese/EA favor will benefit Thailand's interest. Don't upset at me OK? I do it for all Thais. Nobody hate the one who love them. Thais are open-minded, unlike you. you maybe a Lao-Khmer in disguise like NoJek. LOL
