do you consider him as a japanese actor or a taiwanese actor?
why do he prefer his japanese name?...is there a reason?(a commercial reason?)
don't you think he looks like Orlando Bloom?

are you some type of frigging idiot?
The japanese entertainment industry wouldn't even give him a chance because of his mixed blood. He made it big in Taiwan and HK first before the Japanese would give him a chance.
And he prefers his Japanese name because his father is Japanese and in asian tradition, your father's race determines what race you are.
No, there is no commercial reason for him chosing his Japanese name. He has done more HK movies than he has Japanese movies.
Don't forget to call yourself an idiot. I'm tired.
But look at BoA, Crystal K, Verbal of M-flo for example...
BoA, a full Korean, is huge in Japan and they accept her as she was their own.
Crystal K, pretty popular in Japan and there's not one but of Japanese blood in her. She's half Korean half Black.
Verbal, from M-Flo (very popular), is of Korean descent and he's accepted as well.
There are other Korean blooded Japanese stars out there but those 3 are the only ones I know so far.
