I've seen average Thais abroad (not in Thailand), and they kind of resemble Malays or Filipinos.

There are millions of mixed blood Chinese Thais. But most Thais still don't look East Asian, they are typical SEAasian look alike.

Yes, it's very normal for some Thais/Southeast Asians to look East Asian. Afterall, our ancestors migrated from East Asia.

Thai never came from East asia. They only claim to be and it depend on certain ethnic in Thailand they came from.

Ive watched some thai movies and dramas.Girls are kinda east asian looking,but most of the guys look mixed.I think thailand has some of the best looking actors in asia.

If you Think Only Ong-Bak is the only movie that the lead actor does not look Chinese, Yes ofcourse, the main actor is from Kui tribe, one of Austronesian tribe in Thailand that famous for trainning elephants and Kui is one tribe of Thai people. Just like Chinese is one ethnic of Thai people.
