I also love Chicken Balti too!
Served up with Poppadoms and some plain Naan or Pitta Bread!

I like Biryani, Chicken Tikka, Idli/Chutney, Dahi Vada, Lamb Korma, Goan Pork Sausage, and Puri/Baji. Yep, we Indians have some great cuisine, you gotta admit.

Kinda makes up for our corny film industry.

I have had Indian food for a long time. You'd be surprised that not all Indian food uses curry, just as not all Chinese food are drenched in soy sauce

Indian cuisine has become so popular in UK society that is now considered part of being 'British'.
We have so many Indian resturants/take-aways that it has become part of everyday life.
Tikka Masala, Vindaloo and Korma are practically now native dishes!

Roghan Josh, Idlis, Samosas, Uthappams, Dosas, and more I can't remember the name of (besides the already mentoined nan and tandoori chicken). There are tons of greeat indian foods. Though they all pretty much are local state foods adn alot of the stuff I mentioned is Tamil. North and South show the greatest differences.
(Goan Pork sausage is weird. Pork is almost never eaten anywhere there.)
Thai curry is just indian curry with coconut milk and peanuts.

In the UAE, some Lebanese shawarma places have started making "tandoori" shawarmas. Their regular shawarmas are already far superior to any other in the world, so you can just imagine what I think of their tandoori shawarmas.

as for CPK's Tandoori Chicken Pizza, here's the description:
Pieces of Tandoori chicken breast marinated in Indian spices, with zucchini, yellow squash, Mozzarella cheese, cilantro and a spicy tomato-yogurt curry. Mango chutney served on the side.

my native foods are mainly meats and fruit concoctions so it very foreign to me but still nice
I am trying to learn how to cook it for my man but with me lacking cooking skills in general its gona be a looong while before even i can taste what i cook lol
can anyone here recommend "easy to learn" Indian dishes? other than stew chicken though i already learned that well

I LOVE Indian food.

Anything with lots of gravy, eaten with pilau or briyani rice, using hands on banana leaf.

Korma, curry, chicken tandoori and nan bread....

The Indian restaurants in the UK r actually very good but too expensive. I miss the warung stalls in Malaysia, esp those run by the local Indians. So cheap and yummy!!!

Sag paneer or palak paneer (I can't tell you the difference ... can anyone explain it to me?), aloo gobi, veggie samosas, veggie pakoras, masala dosas, chana masala, chana bhathura, bhelpuri, pani puri, and kheer are my favorites at the moment.
I do like naan, but also other kinds of bread like paratha.
