As long as there's no real physical harm involved, I find it quite interesting for a society to have such passionate, raucous, creative and active demonstrations and expressions! It doesn't hurt to visibly voice disagreement, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. Taiwanese politicians regularly swipe at each other too.

yet no real results come from these protests.. They are futile. the rest of the population are sheep, or amazingly stupid...
