Hiya! Its almost Holi (Yay! )
I guess ill go to a party then. So what are you all gonna do?

For the peeps who dont have a clue as to what Holi is: Holi is a festival where
the Spring is celebrated. People throw colored powders on each other. The colors
represents the nature in full bloom:

From what I've seen, Holi seems fun.

We need moreIndian peeps in Norway so they can arrange festivals like the Paki arrange melas

I don't think v folks in US do anything, besides have a party, distribute sweets and do some puja and some folks wear traditional clothing to WORK!


That is holi for us

there are tons of Paki people here, but no Indian people. If you are lucky you might see some Sikh people, but Pakis are found on every single corner.

ugh!! I can't stand the coconut one's. But there are these orange ones and they ain't too bad. But i love those supari, the ones that look like small pieces of wood, you suck on them but you can't swallow them.

thingy. And the orange ones are called Jalebi (at least that the term here in Holland,
I dunno if that the official name) And the pieces of wood... ahh $hit.. i have no

got the names...

orange ones are called jalaebi. Round balls with coconut on top - gulab Jamun, and the white ones with coconut are called Barfi, one like pieces of wood are Supari.
