So, there has been long debate for many, many years about whether Oirat tribes in Europe is deserve our own country separate from Russia. Even though their government is grant us some land like Kalmykia, this place is still not independant country, and they is still have to take orders from Russian government.
Russian people is already do very much to destroy our culture, like ban Oirat and Mongol languages from schools and these things. So what I am think, who is right here? How many people is agree with me that Oirat tribe must each be given our own republic, or maybe only one big republic for all tribes, to live in that is 100% free from Russia?

What is your opinion?

How many Oirats are there in Russia? What's the lifestyle of the Oirats?

The problem with separatist movements is that no country could actually support them without the risk of granting legitimacy to their own separatist movements and there is a lot of them in the world!

The few stories of success out there usually had the support from a lobby group within a more powerful country (like the Christians in U.S. supporting the creation of South Sudan, or the history of the Jews and Israel) or was the easiest way to weaken a potential enemy without actually going to war with them.
In this case we are talking about Russia which has Veto power in the UN and will probably do everything they can to stop the country from gaining full recognition even if they had de facto independency.

There is about 174,000 Oirat in Russia. We is live in many different tribes, most of us in Siberia or just around that area in European part of Russia. In old days we is live like nomads, but now in modern times we is stick to small villages. I think problem with Russia is that they is see our region as valuable for recourse like oil and these things, and they is want to keep us in their power. Sad story is that some Oirat tribe in Europe is not unify with each other, and so maybe it is kind of difficult to form large rebellion.
During Second World War some of us is helping German military because they is promise us that they will make us free and give us own lands separate from USSR. But of course this is lie and German is view us like inferior Mongol race, so we is have to fight on our own again after war.
In modern times is no more fighting, but I am hope maybe we can do this through peaceful talking with government. I think maybe we can get some support from Mongolia, since we is sort of connect with them from ancestors and maybe they is be happy to help us become new country so we is make alliance with them. Maybe China also do this, but I am not so sure about them...

Rising awareness around the world about the plea of the Oirats would be a good start. And yeah China would be a good option since they also have Veto power and is a rather powerful country but they would probably only intervine if they start having their one issues with Russia (as a way to undermine them).

I am hope this would happen. If powerful country like China could come behind this argument, I am believe we can really have hope for negotiation with Russia. I am hear some stories about in the past China is not have happiest relation with Russia, so who knows.

I think nationhood and loyalty should depend on common blood, race, and culture. For example, it is wrong that America owns Hawaii and Alaska since the indigenous have nothing to do with the White majority in America. Hawaiians and Alaskans are racially closer to Asians.

No other race should control people of a different race - it's degrading and wrong. Since Russians and mostly WHite, I agree that mongoloid tribes of Russia should have autonomy.

I am glad you is support our idea. Long time has pass from us be control by white Russian domination. I am not want same thing to happen to my people what is happen to Natives in America, where they is lose all of their tradition and these things and force to become like western.

If the Oirats want their own nation, they should start by getting together with other Mongolian tribes like the Buryat, Kalmyk, Tuva, etc. A good region to settle would be near Lake Baikal which is also close to Mongolia. Either that or you can settle close to Kalmykia which is somewhat close to Kazakhstan. It too is an Altaic nomadic nation.

In fact, Kalmyk is one part of Oirat people, except it is large tribe which have it's own land, not like some other Oirat group. But even Kalmykia is still control by Russia government. I am think they is just needing to give us land we is already living on, which is mainly around Siberia. This land is mostly too harsh for Caucasian Russian, and they is not strong enough to live there like we are. So anyway is not huge loss for them to give us independent land where anyway we is only ones living there.

The demographics of Siberia suggest that the Mongoloid natives are reclaiming the region. A lot of white Russians are going back to European Russia.

Kalmykia is pretty much the Altaic nomadic version of Singapore. It is a small Mongoloid nation in a sea of non-Asians.
