So, I think I have read like a million times that Chu*~ No^m was dead language, obsolete. But, when I was asking my parents, 100% Kinh btw, what they thought about the French pretty much putting an end to Chu Nom for a school project, they both looked at me and were like "We can read/write Chu Nom"... And apparently so can the rest of my family. They all either took classes during high school or were taught by their parents... And even my parents friends could read/write Chu Nom, but they were Nguoi Hoa, so I guess it kinda makes sense, because they could read/write Chinese/// It's just kind of weird, a little surprising... I have taken upon to learn Chu nom now... Seems like quite the task, but I lived in China for a while, so it shouldn't be THAT hard...

no nanzi or nom-nam tu is not dead. A lot of Kinh (jingzu) in China still using them. They are still living in Liang Guang mostly in Jing-Dao.

yeah Nom Tu is not dead, My family can read/write Nom Tu (well except me, i was... well kinda lazy, now i really want to master it).
