this is REALLY DISGUSTING! how can they do such a thing. visiting one of the most evil places in asia filled with war criminals?! don't taiwanese have some since of dignity? don't they know what yasukuni is all about and what japan did to there people. I would like some replies from any taiwanese people here. Why are they worshipping the evil Japanese when they butchered countless taiwanese. DO THEY KNOW THEIR HISTORY? DO THEY EVEN CARE?!

Sounds like a conspiracy if you ask me perhaps to invoke China. Right now I doubt you will truely know what is going on. Keep in mind the US is involved with Japan , Taiwan and China right now. There is definitely something going on behind the scenes.

it's ONE guy who belongs to the opposition party..his actions does not represent the views and beliefs of the Taiwanese people. he faced immense hostilities upon returning to Taiwan. personally, i think it's disgusting as well and i'm sure most Taiwanese people share my feelings for we too were the victims of the atrocities committed by the Japanese

I agree with you , it's already disgusting enough the Japanese president chooses to visit that shrine. Sigh. icon_sad.gif
康师傅
shame on him...

he must forgot his mom probably got raped by japanese..
caolucai
oh...found out something new

the reason behind his visit to the shrine was to pay tribute to the ~28,000 Taiwanese soldiers who were forefully drafted into the Japanese army during WWII icon_neutral.gif
Mr. Tree
regardless he could simply just make a public annoucement to commerate the Taiwanese soldeirs, NOT GO TO THAT FUKEN SHRINE OF RAPIST PIGS! Gebus ChrIst@!@#

My uncle is buried in that Shrine. It is ok for him to visit and pay his respect for all the Taiwanese patriots who died. Did you know that many of them were killed by the KMT and communists in the War?

Then you are not Chinese nor Taiwanese, but an apologist to the Japanese Imperialists.

if that Mr. Su, that visited the yusnkines cementery wanted to get china attention. he sure got someone attention , that is for sure. He was probably trying to protest china's anti session laws and the lien's plan visit to beijing next month.
as you all know, USA is placing the asian defense headquarters in japan. Building a missle defense shield and the japanese are manufacturing the lastest missles. Taiwan is also being protected un the asian defense treaty.
as you all know after 9/11. george bush is not happy with evil doers, he wants to promote demoracy and freedom for everyone,
if i tell you once , i tell you a million times. don't threaten taiwan, only cowards and cheap shots will try to attack their neighbors.
MasaoTakashi
You tell them vincelee!
