Anti-Whaling Australians actually boarded a Japanese whaling vessel!!! These assholes didn't even spend a single night in Jail or pay a fine, They were returned to Australian authorities who didn't do anything to them either.
At minimum they should have spent a weak in a Japanese detention center while the case was investigated and their backgrounds and identities checked. On top of which, a big fine say $50,000 each for illegally boarding a Japanese ship would be totally appropriate.
To add insult to injury, every article I read on this includes a few lines about how commercial whaling is illegal under international law but Japan is using a loop hole to go around this law. WTF? Loop Hole? to go around the law? Why doesn't a single article(not even one in 20 years) ever point out that Japan has never broke an international whaling law. If the law is flawed, change it! Tell the truth! Don't imply that Japan is breaking the law because it suits western interest and ideology.

Commercial whaling is banned to protect the number of whales from getting too low. If "researching" continues forever then their numbers will still be threatened. Considering most Australian's think the "research" is just an excuse to whale, then yes it is the point.

Still Irreverent. The type of whales taken and the number per year are within IWC rules. No whale taken by Japan is endangered of going extinct. "just an excuse" is an opinion; were is Japan breaking a IWC rule? If you don't like IWC laws, blame the IWC and have them change the laws.

That's news to me. Australia has sovereignty in Australian coastal waters(coastal waters are 14 miles out from land). If Japan was doing anything in Australian coastal waters without permission than Japan was breaking Australian laws. Show me proof that Japan was IN Australian coastal waters without permission and I'll concede Japan broke Australian laws, otherwise, stop making up stuff and admit that Japan has never broke IWC laws.

Can't get one. Easy to get pictures of cattle - easy to get pictures of non offensive cleaned sides of beef hanging on racks. 1. While IWC itself is not necessarily corrupt, some of it's poor members are. The cause of this corruption is due solely on Japanese bribery. Yes Japan is guilty big time!
2. Cattles are not endangered. They are bred for food, there are millions of them. The same can not be said for whale. Or perhaps you have problem understanding the term endangered?
