I'm a 17-year-old Asian boy living up in the northeast of the U.S. I was born and raised here and the only place in Asia that I ever set foot was in Taiwan. I've never been to the mainland, and don't ever plan to go there, but I do plan to live in Taiwan after college.
My heritage comes from a mix of Chinese (as in those that went over during WWII) and Taiwanese (as in those there before the 20th century).
I'm kind of an ignorant ABC, or ABT (I'm not sure yet), that doesn't really know what's going on in Asia. But I will! After college.
Until then, though, I hope to pick up as much as I can about Taiwan because I did live there two years in my childhood life (went to live there when I was 3 and 4) and those were the happiest years of my life. I've gone back a few summers, but I wish to stay there.
I don't care much for the politics. I just want to know what the people there feel about their lives and all.
That's about it for me.
