Particularly Kinh but I'd like to learn about other minority groups' portrayal of intercourse as well--of course all residing in VN. I'm quite surprised about the dearth of actual artifacts to portray the passion between men and women. Is it because everything was recounted "orally" (no pun intended)? I'd love to get a hold of some Vietnamese artifacts/antiques when I travel to VN but I have no idea where to look.

What are some of the most important artistic achievements of the Viets? Did we thrive in a certain handicraft tradition (lacquerware, carvings, etc.)? I see mostly vases in museums but what else is there before the arrival of the French or pre-1900? All of the wooden stuff imported to the states are cheap junk that fall apart when the glue hardens so I don't consider those objects "artistic achievements".
