here are some traditional Japanese armors for Shoguns
I think they're quite cool

heck yeah. ive always loved their armor. makes whoever wears a fawking bad @$$. whats the price on a replica of one of those, i wanna wear it.

The last armor reminds me of the devil.

Darth Vader looking one and the gold plated one are the best looking armor I've seen.

I don't know but the price for a sparring gear for Kumdo is $500, a replica of a Shogun armor would probably be more expensive.

Indeed. The higher up into the japanese hierarchy the more beatiful the armor became.

And for the question about how much these things weigh. They usually dont go over 20 kilograms or about 45-50lbs. Your typical modern soldiers kit weighs in at about 25 kilos now. These are much lighter than their European counterparts as most of the material is Laquered wood / hardened leather and iron would only be be used for the helmet, greaves and possibly shoulder guards. And even then, the iron would be used in strips much like Chinese plated armour to reduce weight and minimize movement restrictions.
