What would you feel if you meet a person of non-Filipino background speaks a Filipino dialect, Tagalog or Filipino?

Hey, I just went last week in Komisyon ng Wikang Filipino in Solano Street, Manila

And guess what "New" words they come up in the new

Revisyon ng Wikang Filipino 2001
English=Filipino

Soldier= Sundalo,Kawal,(Soljer) new word spelling !

Fiesta=Fiesta,Pista( Fyesta) new word spelling!


Vacation=Bakasyon,( Vekeyshun) new word spelling!

Zoo=Zoologico,Zoo ,(Zo) new word spelling!

Zone=Sona,(Zon) new word spellinmg!

Cough=Ubo,(Kaf) new word spelling!

Just like any Filipinos , I am very happy that our national language "Filipino" is fast appealing to the international community!

I'd be flattered.

I've met some, this white guy married a filipina and this white girl who married a filipino... hheehe they're so into it too.

Yeah I know of a few non-Filipinos who speak Tagalog... all older people though (ie. married, divorced etc.) I know one of them actually learnt the language while living in the Philippines while the others all married Filipinos/Filipinas and learnt the language from their significant other.

It sounds weird coming from the mouth of a non-Filipino but its pretty nice of them to learn the language though

umm... then ill be happy cuz i don't have to speak english with that person cuz i tend to twist my tongue (whatever language i use)

i've met so much non filipino who speak filipino languages or dialetcs, whites, some middleastern, some indian, and some black.

Indians and middleasterns, I think, speak better tagalog than whites..(based on experience lang ) kasi they have funnier accents when they speak tagalog..Hehe.. yung Tagalog ng mga bumbay, OK lang...pero kapag puti..medyo nakakatawa
