The director of ringu is Nakata Hideo, I've just seen the first one, but I plan to rent the second one also. I think there is a third ring, called ring 0 , it should be a prequel to the first two RING films and looks at how Sadako got into the well. But I am not 100% sure about this.

Its the Korean remake i fink. Or mayybe its another ring movie. Dunno but the Koreans made it.

I hear that only Ringu and Ringu 0 are any good. The Series made by Korea, Ringu 2, Ringu Rasen, and Ringu Virus suck. I have seen Ringu, Ringu 2, and Ringu 0. So far I'd have to agree with the ratings on the site I mentioned above. Ringu 0 is pretty fun to watch. I reccomend it if you like Ringu.

Hm, I agree with you that Ring Virus and Ring Spiral suck, I do like Ring 2 though...

You liked Ringu 2? I wanted to like it but it went way too scientific and weird. Yoichi with his "powers" and everything not having the same cursed feel the first movie had.

i watched the ring 1 and it's really creepy until then i don't have anymore guts to watch another horror movie, i must say that japanese horror movies are more creepy than horror movies made from hollywood

Srenity, I agree. I made the mistake in seeing "Dawn of the Dead" this Sunday. Boy did that suck, it wasn't even scary.
