im not a japanese person so i dont know a lot of japanese songs

but the ones that i hear are like real good

and i would like to know some japanese songs that are either old and good or its recently hit the top charts or something

Personally, I've taken a liking to Onitsuka Chihiro. Download "Ryuuseigun," "Infection," "Shadow," and "Gekkou" for a taste of her style. If you're into Japanese hiphop maybe you'll want to check out Dragon Ash. I'd like to know current hits in Japan as well since I don't know any. >.<

Yes, Chihiro is a really good, talented singer, her voice is just incredible.... I personally like her 'Gekkou; and 'Memai'

If you like classic Rock, you wouldn't go wrong with X JAPAN. They're a Legend in Japan. I particularly like their ballads .... 'Tears', 'Forever Love', 'Endless Rain', 'Say Anything', and the marvellous and unforgettable 'The Last Song,' a 20 minute ballad sang as the last song because the group got dismantled.

I would also reccomend ZARD. She's old school Jpop, from the early 90s, her 'My Baby Grand' and 'Goodbye My Loneliness' are among the most memorable Jpop songs in my book.

There's also Fujii Fumiya with his super famous 'True Love' ballad that hit Asia by storm.

And who wouldn't know L'Arc-en-Ciel with their vibrant new style music. Their famous singles 'Driver's High' and 'Blurry Eyes' and 'Finale' are awesome.

I can go on and on... let me know when to stop

I heard a rumor that Yukie Nakama didn't sing her songs. I know Yukie Nakama is probably not much of a singer (Acrtess/model types always seem to become singers anyways) but I just wanted to know if this was true.
